Martin Burns won third prize in the I&E Doctoral Fellowship Conference Competition. His research pitch, titled Myoelectric Control of a Human Hand Exoskeleton, outlined how work in the SMC lab is improving the performance of assistive devices for individuals with stroke and limb loss.

Martin Burns won the graduate student poster competition at the 2018 International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering Annual Meeting. His work on wearable hand exoskeletons represented the SMC Lab, the Department of Biomedical Engineering, and Stevens Institute of Technology at this prestigious gathering of pharmaceutical professionals and automation experts.
