Stevens Names Dr. Jean Zu as Dean of the Schaefer School of Engineering & Science

The appointment of Jean Zu, Ph.D., P.Eng. as dean of the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering & Science follows a lengthy international search. She joins Stevens from the University of Toronto, where she currently serves as chair of the mechanical and industrial engineering department. Dr. Zu will begin her appointment at Stevens on May 1.

Stevens Celebrates the Relaunch of its Women's Center
The Stevens community gathered for a "Celebration of Women in Leadership at Stevens" to mark the relaunch of the Lore-El Center for Women's Leadership, a 4,500-square-foot Victorian-style house that will undergo renovation this summer to become a vibrant hub on campus for women's programming.

Stevens Sophomore Shares Entrepreneurial Advice at SXSWedu
BluTours founder and School of Business sophomore Ibrahim Abukwaik served as a panel participant at this year's SXSWedu Conference & Festival, an annual four-day event that fosters innovations in learning and brings together diverse stakeholders in the education field.

Senior Design Team Designs Safer Scanner for Brain Surgeons
The CerebroSense device, designed by three Stevens seniors, can monitor and measure exposed brain tissue from a distance, thereby reducing the risks that come with the traditional method of directly touching the brain.

At Hoboken High School, Stevens Creates a Financial Literacy Course with Interest
Seniors in the School of Business conducted "Stevens Making Cents" workshops on financial literacy at Hoboken High School while preparing a template that will soon be used nationwide.

Stevens Math Olympiad
Students in grades 3-12 get to demonstrate their creativity and ingenuity in solving mathematical and logical problems in a fun and engaging competition. The Olympiad will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 on Stevens' campus.
