Stevens Creates a New Major in Accounting & Analytics

The accounting and analytics major, launched this fall by the School of Business, responds to the recruitment demands of the Big Four accounting firms, which seek job candidates who possess the analytical insights required of CPAs in a fast-shifting industry.

Admissions News & Announcements

Early Decision I Notification - Early Decision I applicants will receive an email notification when their admissions decisions become available on their online student portal. Decisions will be available by December 15.

The Redesigned SAT - Applicants for the fall 2017 entering class will have the option to submit three standardized tests: the ACT, the old SAT format, and the redesigned SAT format. The admissions committee will evaluate and superscore each test independently.

Visual Arts and Technology Graduate Designs a 3D 'Glimpse' of Hoboken
Began as a senior design project at Stevens, the virtual tour of Hoboken, designed by Julia Guignard '16, combines augmented reality and 3D modeling to offer visitors a new perspective in understanding and appreciating the historic streets and architecture of the Mile Square City.

Alumnus Donates Coding Prize Money to Support Stevens Entrepreneurs
After taking 1st place at a coding and workshop event in New York sponsored by the Symphony Software Foundation, Kevin Barresi '16 selected the Stevens Venture Center, a new university initiative aimed at nurturing student and faculty startups, as his charity of choice for the $5000 prize money.

From Hoboken to Hungary
With the help of remote recording software, two seniors in Stevens' music and technology program were able to record their musical compositions with the Budapest Film Orchestra in real time.

Stevens President Named Educator of the Year
The Research & Development Council of New Jersey honored President Nariman Farvardin at the 37th Edison Patent Awards Ceremony and Reception held November 3 at the Liberty Science Center.

Women's Leadership Conference Offers Inspiration, Advice
Keynote speaker Dr. Jedidah Isler, an award-winning astrophysicist and the first African-American woman to receive a Ph.D. in astrophysics from Yale, set the tone for an inspiring day that included workshops, an alumnae panel and networking to encourage women to become leaders in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.
