Michael zur Muehlen has over eight years of experience in the field of process automation and workflow management, and has conducted various reengineering projects in the utility, financial services, industrial, and telecommunications sector both in Germany and the US. Dr. zur Muehlen is a member of the Technical Committee of the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) and holds the chair of the WfMC working group “Resource Model”, and is a director of the AIS special interest group on process automation and management (SIGPAM)
In the area of process management and workflow automation his research areas include the use of workflow audit trail information for monitoring and controlling purposes, the management of human and technical resources as well as modeling methods for intra- and inter-organizational processes. |

Jeffrey
V. Nickerson is
founder and director of the
web services research laboratory
at Stevens Institute of Technology.
Prior to his appointment at
Stevens Institute of Technology,
he was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers,
where he ran a group focused
on advanced technologies, and
performed consulting related
to software design with many
companies. Dr. Nickerson has
served on several corporate
boards and advisory boards.
He is a member of the executive
board of the AIS Special Interest
Group in process automation
and management.
In the area of process management
and workflow automation his
research areas include the use
of web services for process
management purposes and the
use of agent technology for
monitoring complex processes. |

Edward
A. Stohr is currently
Associate Dean for Research
and Academics at the Howe School
of Technology Management. He
is the editor of two books on
decision support systems and
has published articles in many
leading journals. He is on the
editorial boards of a number
of leading journals in the information
systems field and has also acted
as consultant to a number of
major corporations. Professor
Stohr is a member of the executive
board of the AIS Special Interest
Group in process automation
and management.
In the area of process management
and workflow automation his
research interests are centered
on the problems of developing
computer systems to support
work and decision making in
