Stevens Receives 2018 ACE/Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation
On Sunday, March 11, 2018, Stevens received the 2018 American Council on Education/Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation, among the most prestigious awards in higher education.
The award recognizes the incredible progress that has taken place at Stevens since 2011 across nearly all aspects of the University—enrollment growth, academic profile of students, faculty accomplishments, alumni engagement, philanthropic support, strengthened financials, increased diversity, and enhanced relations with the local community and other key constituencies.
"Stevens Institute of Technology … illustrate(s) how addressing issues head-on—plus a lot of hard work and collaboration—can help transform an institution," said ACE President Ted Mitchell at the ceremony.
The award, which was made following a very competitive national selection process, recognizes institutions that have responded to higher education challenges in innovative and creative ways and achieved dramatic changes in a relatively brief period. It includes a $10,000 award to Stevens.
