Stevens Welcomes New Full-time Faculty
Stevens Institute of Technology is pleased to announce 19 new full-time members have been added to its faculty cohort for academic year 2016-17.
Hailing from such institutions as Carnegie Mellon, Stanford and UNC-Chapel Hill, these new Stevens faculty members represent teaching and research expertise and accomplishment in a variety of critical fields including robotics, virtual reality, medical technology, cybersecurity, finance and operations.
"We have been able to recruit exceptional talent to join Stevens this fall," noted Keith Sheppard, Interim Dean for the School of Engineering & Science (SES), Stevens' largest school, adding that the school has focused new hiring on departments and programs that have seen strong recent demand for student enrollment — STEM disciplines such as mechanical engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering and a new biology program.
