Incident Summary
At approximately 2:40 pm on Saturday, September 4th, Stevens Campus Police issued a shelter in place notification, shortly after being notified of an incident which occurred on campus. The incident involved three individuals unaffiliated with Stevens. Two suspects, one male and one female, held up a livery driver near the Stevens campus and forced the driver into a parking lot on the north part of campus where they attempted to rob him at gunpoint. Both suspects were seen leaving campus via the 9th Street exit. Both Stevens Campus Police and the Hoboken Police responded to this incident and continue to cooperate on the investigation. At 4:22 p.m., the shelter in place was lifted, and all activities on campus have resumed.
