Welcome from Vice President Cindy Chin! |
Dear Colleagues,
As we approach the end of the year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and support in guiding students through their college selection journey. On behalf of the entire Stevens community, I wish you a joyful holiday season and a successful 2026!
In this issue, we’re excited to share stories that highlight Stevens’ dedication to student success. Stevens recently ranked No. 1 in New Jersey for graduate earnings in new federal College Scorecard data, with graduates reporting median salaries of $111,977 four years after graduation, placing Stevens first among all New Jersey institutions and No. 32 nationally among nearly 5,000 colleges and universities. These results position Stevens in the top 1% of U.S. universities and underscore our exceptional return on investment. Stevens also earned national recognition for its commitment to student wellness, reflecting our ongoing efforts to support the whole student experience. In addition, we’ve unveiled a modernized chemical biology lab designed to enhance hands-on learning and research opportunities for future scientists.
We’re also thrilled to announce the launch of our new artificial intelligence major, preparing students for careers in one of the fastest-growing fields in technology.
In addition, Stevens is extending its SAT/ACT test-optional policy for first-year applicants through Fall 2029 and for transfer applicants through Spring 2028 and Fall 2029 (with specific exceptions noted on our website).
Finally, please remind your students that our last application deadlines — Early Decision II and Regular Decision — are Jan. 5, 2026. Our admissions counselors, back from their fall travels, are excited to read your students’ applications and learn more about the incredible talent you’ve been guiding.
Thank you for all you do to support students. We look forward to continuing to work together in the year ahead!
Happy holidays, Cindy

Student Insight
Brandon Kiefer Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management (Master’s), Class of 2026
I chose Stevens because of its incredible sense of community. Everyone here feels like family. Whether it’s in class, at a game or during a club event, the kindness and support are unmatched. I was recruited for track, and after learning more about Stevens, my campus visit sealed the deal. On top of that, Stevens’ strong reputation in engineering made it the perfect fit. Now, as a senior, I’m graduating this spring with both my bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and my master’s in engineering management — an opportunity I couldn’t have imagined anywhere else.

Yasmin Freeman Associate Director of Financial Aid for Scholarships & Grants
Common mistakes made on financial aid forms include entering information in the wrong sections, misreporting assets, failing to sign the forms and missing crucial deadlines. To avoid these errors, read each section carefully and use FAFSA and CSS help tools for guidance on what should be reported. Be sure to thoroughly review and sign the forms before submitting. Finally, ensure the forms are submitted by the required deadlines for schools and state agencies, so that eligibility for financial aid can be accurately and promptly determined.
