Greetings from Stevens Institute of Technology!
We hope your summer was restful and that the new school year is off to a strong start.
This fall, Stevens welcomed its largest-ever undergraduate class — over 1,170 students — along with 1,364 new graduate students. The Class of 2029 includes National Merit Scholars, valedictorians, class presidents, Eagle Scouts, pilots, black belts and students with impressive academic, creative and philanthropic achievements. International representation reached a record high, with students from 22 countries. Many of these students are here thanks to the dedicated efforts of our financial aid team, whose work makes a Stevens education attainable for many each year.
We’re proud to be included in Jeff Selingo’s Dream School, a book that helps families rethink what really matters in a college: not rankings, but outcomes, community and long-term success. Stevens was also recently named to LinkedIn’s Top Colleges list, ranking No. 45 nationally for long-term career success, and featured in The Princeton Review’s Best Colleges for 2026 for location, student support and quality of life.
President Nariman Farvardin recently shared our educational philosophy:
“We don't try to teach our students skills. We try to teach students a way to learn on their own for the rest of their lives.”
That mindset is reflected in our outcomes with the Class of 2024 achieving a 96.8% placement rate within six months of graduation and with an average salary of $84,800. I encourage you to review our impressive 2024 undergraduate career outcomes report, a clear reflection of how Stevens prepares students for success after graduation.
We’re excited for the year ahead and all the incredible things our students, faculty and staff will accomplish together. Stay tuned for exciting announcements in the coming weeks, with updates that reflect the momentum across campus.
All the best, Cindy
