Welcome from Vice President Cindy Chin! |
Dear Colleagues,
Greetings from Stevens Institute of Technology!
We hope your summer was restful and the school year is off to a good start. Stevens, a leading private research university in Hoboken, New Jersey (overlooking the Manhattan skyline), is dedicated to preparing its more than 8,000 students for a technology-driven world through innovative teaching and research. The university ranks in the top 1% nationally for the highest-paid graduates.
As an alumna, I can personally attest to the unique benefits of Stevens, from diverse academic programs and experiential learning to a supportive community and strong career outcomes.
With the college application process underway, we aim to provide helpful insights through this newsletter, covering pre-college programs, admissions and financial aid. We hope it proves valuable for you and your students and gives you a better sense of what makes Stevens special.
Finally, we also hope this is a chance for you to stay connected with our team, and for you to share feedback on what can be useful to you in your very important work. Feel free to email me with any suggestions.
Best wishes for a successful academic year!

Student Insight
Abby Thomas, Student Ambassador 3/4 Quantitative Social Science Major
The best advice I can give to someone coming to college is to treat college as more than just a vehicle to get a job. My Stevens experience has been transformative and vital to my character development and has really allowed me to find my passion. I changed my major, joined different clubs and am taking amazing courses to help finalize my career goals, too. So, get out of your comfort zone and be open to whatever comes your way!
