New Major: Quantitative Social Science

This year, Stevens’ College of Arts and Letters invites prospective students to apply to study quantitative social science (QSS), a new major that will grant a Bachelor of Science. This dynamic program will teach students the technical and quantitative skills needed to dive into research that will impact human lives and help solve the problems of tomorrow. “The tech-powered curriculum of the new quantitative social science major will prepare graduates to excel within our ever-changing world,” said Kelland Thomas, the College’s dean. “Students will gain the statistical and computational skillsets needed to understand and impact societal movements in the 21st century.” Discover how this new course of study—which includes concentrations in political science, psychology and sociology—will ready graduates for future-focused careers.
