![]() ME’s Marehalli Prasad is retiring. Prasad has been with Stevens for 37 years, where he taught classes on mechanical vibrations and engineering acoustics, conducted research and development with specialization in acoustics, noise control and vibration, and built the Noise Control Laboratory with an anechoic chamber and a reverberation chamber. Prasad was the only faculty member in the ME department dedicated to acoustics. He was also a faculty advisor for the ASME Student Section and an advisor for the Stevens chapter of Engineers Without Borders. In his spare time, Prasad led local student summer camps on culture, diversity and leadership. He even found time to produce, direct and stage plays and dance performances. His energy and enthusiasm will be missed. |
