From the Office of Matt Gwin, AVP Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement
As we continue to navigate these uncertain times, the Stevens Alumni Association Board of Directors along with our team remain focused on ensuring that Association business continues and new initiatives are launched. The Directors have two upcoming virtual meetings (May 21 and June 13) to discuss how to continue to engage the Stevens alumni community and advance the Association's mission in new ways. Stay tuned for the outcomes of these meetings.
In this issue of Castle Point News, we are proud to feature Annesa Lau ’03 M.Eng. ’05 MBA ’09 in our Alumni Spotlight. Annesa is the Deputy Director of Operations Services at Port Authority NY NJ, leading the operational support efforts for the agency’s 8,000 employees in response to COVID-19. In true Stevens fashion, Lau brings expertise as well as compassion and humanity to her role.
This month, we celebrate and honor the Class of 2020. Please join us in welcoming the Class of 2020 to the Stevens Alumni Association! We look forward to working with the newly elected Class of 2020 officers and engaging our newest members. In the meantime, visit our 20 for ’20 site and leave a congratulatory message to the #StevensClassof2020.
Thank you to all who have made a gift to support the Stevens Rises Relief Fund. To date, over $53,000 has been raised. It is truly inspiring to see the generosity of our alumni in supporting our students at this time of great need. As we approach the end of our fiscal year, please consider making your annual gift to Stevens. Now more than ever, alumni support has a significant impact on the lives and education of our students as well as the future of the university.
Lastly, please join me in extending a warm welcome to Laura Rose, Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement. We look forward to sharing a spotlight feature on Laura in an upcoming issue.
With Memorial Day upon us, we remember and honor our fallen heroes who courageously sacrificed their lives for our country.
Until next month, stay safe and strong, Ducks.
