Stevens Hailed as Top University for Institutional Transformation

Stevens received the 2018 American Council on Education/Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation. The prestigious award recognizes the unprecedented growth and accelerated success at Stevens that began in 2011, when President Nariman Farvardin spearheaded an ambitious ten-year strategic plan that put Stevens on a path to become a premier, student-centric, technological research university.

Stevens Through the Years

There have been notable Stevens family descendants through the years, including Millicent Hammond Fenwick (1910-1992). A great granddaughter of Stevens founder Edwin A. Stevens, Fenwick made her mark in history in myriad ways. She was a model, a writer for Vogue, a four-term Republican member of the United States Congress, and a fierce champion of the civil rights and women's movements. She will be inducted posthumously into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in May alongside fellow Garden State honorees including actress Meryl Streep, publisher Steve Forbes and astronaut twins Mark and Scott Kelly.
