Stevens Through the Years

ImageStevens admitted its first class of undergraduate women in the fall of 1971. Robert H. Seavy, who spent four decades at Stevens as a student, chemistry professor, administrator and dean of admissions, played a critical role in that historic decision. Known for his charisma and kind spirit, this beloved member of the Stevens community passed away January 4 at the age of 95. Stevens honors his dedicated service each year at Convocation when the Robert H. Seavy Award is presented to the student tour guide who best represents the values of Stevens to prospective students and their families.
