Stevens Through the Years

ImageFor Jersey City brothers Andrew J. Post and Robert C. Post, the big city across the Hudson River loomed large in their lives. Its presence was never more visible than when they became undergraduates at Stevens, its hilltop location offering a panoramic view of Manhattan. They would become instrumental in shaping the city's famous skyline. After graduation (Andrew in 1892 and Robert in 1898), they formed the Post and McCord Construction Company, which was responsible for erecting the structural steel for two of the city’s most iconic symbols: the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building.
