Summer in India Inspires Future Physician

Stevens women's basketball player Dylan Krause '16, a chemical biology major from Atlanta, spent nearly a month in the town of Malavli, India, where she shadowed a variety of physicians, observed multiple surgeries, helped take patients' vital signs and traveled with a mobile health van to distribute medicine to isolated villages.

ExxonMobil-Bound Senior Credits Faculty Guidance and Standout Career Center

For mechanical engineering student Andreas Pallikaras '16, the formula for a successful college experience involved forming close relationships with faculty, working closely with an outstanding career center, an engineering curriculum that stood out from the pack — and some bass playing on Sundays for good measure.

STEVENS THROUGH THE YEARS

In 1974, only three years after women were first admitted to Stevens, the university fielded its first women's varsity athletics team – in fencing. On November 19th of that year, they began the university's tradition of women's varsity athletics in grand fashion by defeating state rival Princeton University. Women's athletics at Stevens have grown by leaps and bounds since that first match. Today, Stevens has 13 women's varsity sports, most with a winning legacy.
