The outstanding ROI on a Stevens education continues to distinguish the university among leading institutions of higher education. 78% of this year’s graduating class finalized their post-graduate plans prior to Commencement, with 64% entering the workforce, entering the military or returning to their home countries.

Bridgette Barden Chosen as Empire 8 Woman of the Year
Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer midfielder Bridgette Barden has been chosen by the Empire 8 Athletic Conference for the prestigious NCAA Woman of the Year award. This award honors a senior female student-athlete who has distinguished herself throughout her collegiate career in the areas of academic achievement, athletic excellence, service and leadership.

142nd Commencement Looks to the Future, Honors the Past
Stevens celebrated the achievements of more than 1,600 students at our 142nd commencement. Spyros Polemis (’61), a leading figure in the shipping industry, delivered the graduate address, while Maggie Wilderotter, chairman and CEO of Frontier Communications, addressed the undergraduate Class of 2014.

Three pioneering Stevens faculty from the Department of Computer Science are recent recipients of the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) highly esteemed CAREER grant awards. The CAREER Award supports early career development of faculty in the sciences who are most likely to become leading researchers and educators.

Jersey coast communities devastated by Hurricane Sandy serve as inspiration for the Stevens entry into the 2015 Solar Decathlon. Bearing the effects of Hurricane Sandy in mind, the student team, supported by faculty advisors, will design and build the SURE HOUSE, a sustainable and resilient home for coastal communities.

Invention by Stevens Faculty and Students Could Be a Game Changer in Bridge Safety
A team of civil and mechanical engineering students, under the direct supervision of Stevens faculty advisors, have figured out a way to use the vibrations caused by cars and trucks as they cross over bridges to provide an around-the-clock monitoring system for bridges.

Scivantage Collaborates with Stevens to Help Launch the Next Great Startups in Financial Technology
Scivantage, a provider of information-enabled software for the financial industry, is collaborating with Stevens to create a 12-week incubator program to develop dynamic and disruptive technology that will transform the financial services industry.
