Stevens Ranks 5th in U.S. for Return on Investment
PayScale’s 2014 College ROI Report has once again ranked Stevens as a top university for return on investment for students. At #5 in the nation, Stevens maintains its elite status with other universities, placing ahead of Princeton, Dartmouth and Harvard universities.

Stevens Announces Commencement Speakers
Maggie Wilderotter, a renowned communications executive, and Spyros Polemis ’61, chairman and managing director of one of the world's leading shipping companies, will address the Stevens Institute of Technology Class of 2014 at the University’s 142nd Commencement, which will take place Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J.

Amazon Pulse Aims to Establish a Real-time Observatory
Michael Bruno, Dean of the Schaefer School of Engineering and Science, and Alan Blumberg, Director of the Davidson Laboratory, recently returned from a reconnaissance trip to the Amazon River. Their effort, called Amazon Pulse, not only aims to improve scientific understanding of the river, but to create management and predictive tools.

Stevens Receives New Patent for Mass Spectrometry Technique
A patented breakthrough technology developed by Stevens researchers can detect the tiniest explosives at rapid speed – and prove that you haven’t washed your hands. This new mass spectrometric technique is called Helium-Plasma Ionization Mass Spectrometry (HePI-MS), and measures the masses of molecules.

2014 Innovation Expo spotlights more than 120 student research projects
The 2014 Stevens Innovation Expo will take place Wednesday, April 30 on the Stevens campus, highlighting more than 120 interdisciplinary student research projects, including innovative new designs as well as recent advances in Stevens faculty research.

Stevens Launches Effort to Recruit More Women to Key Majors
Stevens is partnering with the “Extension Services – Undergraduate Programs” (ES-UP) initiative of the National Center for Women & Information Technology to implement a plan for recruiting women into the fields of computer science, electrical engineering, and computer engineering.

Stevens Student-Athletes Receive National Community Service Award
The National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA) announced the recipients of this year’s Community Service Awards, and Stevens won in the One-Time Project Category. In the aftermath of Sandy, student-athletes mobilized to provide help to those in need.

IEEE History Center Moves to Stevens
Stevens opens its doors to the IEEE History Center, the historical arm of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. After 24 years, the History Center has relocated from Rutgers University to the Stevens campus in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Stevens Chief Information Officer Honored as CIO of the Year-Non Profit
Stevens Chief Information Officer and Vice President for Information Technology, David Dodd, has been recognized as CIO of the Year-Non Profit by the New Jersey Technology Council. He recently accepted the honor at the annual NJTC CIO Conference in Bridgewater, N.J.

School of Engineering Relaunches its Online Research Magazine
Stevens announces the relaunch of Nexus, the university’s online research magazine for the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering & Science. Nexus is a publication for people interested in learning more about engineering research.
