Stevens Strategic Planning Steering Committee Presents Early Outline at Town Hall
A steering committee appointed by President Nariman Farvardin organized a Town Hall meeting that drew nearly 200 attendees to learn about progress on the development of the university's Strategic Plan a road map for Stevens' ascent over the next decade.

Stevens Launches New Business Intelligence & Analytics Masters
In the spring of 2012, the Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens will work to fill the analytic skill set void across multiple industries by offering a Master of Science in Business Intelligence and Analytics (BI&A). It will be the only such masters program in the New York Metropolitan area and one of only a few in the entire country.

Stevens Professor Makes Graphene-Based Inkjet-Printed Electronics
Dr. Woo Lee, a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at Stevens, is advancing printed electronics through the recent demonstration of a method to inkjet print electrical energy storage devices using graphene. His team was recognized with the Academic R&D Award at Printed Electronics USA 2011 for combining the potential of graphene with precision inkjet printing technologies.

New Director Focuses CSR on Proactive Forecasting of Port Security Threats
The Center for Secure and Resilient Maritime Commerce (CSR) at Stevens, the nation's lead port security research and education center, welcomed Dr. Julie Pullen as its new director this year. She began intensively focusing the CSR on proactively getting its tools and technologies into the hands first responders so they can be put to practical use.
