Thank You for taking the

Defining Issues Survey

Please read the following before continuing.

It sometimes happens that those completing this survey interpret the results to be an indication of inherent morality, honesty, or personal worth - THIS SURVEY IS NOT INTENDED TO ASSESS ANY OF THESE.

Our purpose is to help you become aware of the stage of moral development you rely on most when facing moral dilemmas. To help determine that the calculations are based on the four (4) statements you deemed most important in deciding what action to take in each situation.; from this you can determine which stage of development you use most often.

The four statements you noted as being most important are used in the calculations. The first, or "most important" is given a value of 4 and the least important a value of 1. The total of the scores is calculated based on seven (7) stories so you can compare the results with the chart below.

As stated previously, your response to these surveys will be held in strictest confidence and at no time will your response be associated with you or your organization.
