Dr. Nan Hu, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology.He was an assistant professor at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for accounting and finance . Prior to that, he was also an assistant professor at Singapore Management University (2004-09). His research focuses on investigating the value implications and market efficiency of both traditional information (e.g. company financial report, analyst forecast and corporate governance) and non-traditional information (e.g. blog opinion and online consumer reviews), using a combination of theories from accounting, finance, marketing, information economics, sociology, psychology and computer science. Nan Hu has over 14 years of data mining experience, and was a senior analyst for Capital One (2001-04).
