Dr. Gousgounis is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Howe School of Technology Management, Stevens Institute of Technology. Her research interests include behavioral finance, risk management, market efficiency, international finance and emerging markets. Her research focuses on the effect of short sale constraints on pricing, liquidity and market efficiency. Her current project studies the pricing implications of short sale constraints in the Indian equity market.She has earned her Ph.D. in Finance at Baruch College, City University of New York. She also holds an M. B. A. in Finance from Baruch College and a B. A. in Economics from Athens University of Economics and Business.
Dr. Gousgounis specializes in behavioral finance, market microstructure,derivatives and international finance. She has a special interest in policy issues. She has been studying the policy implications of short sale constraints. She has also collaborated with Goldman Sachs, Thomson-Reuters and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission on various research projects involving Foreign Exchange and Energy Markets.
