Delta Tau Delta | Rho Chapter

Rho Chapter of Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity is located at 809 Castle Point Terrace in Hoboken, NJ. Rho Chapter was founded on May 9th, 1874, and now occupies the largest residential structure in Hoboken.

The Brothers of Rho Chapter are committed to live a life of excellence. We demonstrate this by contributing to all facets of campus life and by giving back to the community in which we reside.

Undergraduate Delts can be found in many leadership positions throughout campus. We are active members in the UGC, the IFC, the Ambassadors Club, Stevens Alumni Association, Edwin A. Stvens Society, the SAAC, the Honor Board, and a variety of otherorganizations. Over 60% of our Brothers are Varsity Athletes. We currently have members on the Baseball, and Soccer teams, and captains of the Track, Basketball, and Lacrosse teams.

Delta Tau Delta can also boast a strong showing in all IFC sports contests. We are currently four time winners of the IFC All-Sports trophy, and we are actively seeking our tenth championship in a row this year.

We are also actively involved in a variety of community service projects. Every year we host an annual clothe drive on campus, participate in the local Hoboken youth lacrosse league, and volunteer at local city cleanups. We have also participated in American Cancer Society donation drives and Newark Habitat for Humanity urban renewal projects.

Rho Chapter also has a very strong alumni base. Many alumni can boast of powerful positions in upper management of large, successful companies. Lawrence T. Babbio Jr, Rho class of 1966, is currently Vice Chairman & President of Verizon Communications and the present chairman of the Stevens Board of Trustees. Other successful Rho alumni include Alexander Calder, a world famous artist and designer best known for his mobiles. Alexander Humphreys, for whom Humphreys Residence Hall is named, was the only man to be both President of Stevens and Chairman of the Board of Trustees simultaneously.

Rho Chapter has a tradition of instilling leadership and supporting the personal development of her members for 129 years. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence is not an act, but our tradition.
