Remote Robotics and Innovative Mapping Techniques
“Remote Robotics and Innovative Mapping Techniques” is another installment of our Inventiveness Creativity and Entrepreneurship (ICE) Blog.
In this piece we focus on the efforts of Dr. Kishore Pochiraju who, as the lead of the Design and Manufacturing Institute (DMI), is creating intelligent mechanical systems. Along with his team of researchers he has created a vehicle known as the Remotely Operated and Autonomous Mapping System (ROAMS) that enables real time 3D location viewing and mapping. This technology has the potential to revolutionize safety procedures in the military during intelligence gathering and solve several fundamental problems with competitive mapping systems.
