Enterprise Development & Licensing Launches New Website - Implements Technogenesis II

Stevens Institute of Technology is proud to announce the launching of the Enterprise Development & Licensing website. Edwin A. Stevens founded the University in 1870 on the basis of pioneering research and entrepreneurship. Today, that focus is stronger than ever, and the Enterprise Development & Licensing group aims to take innovation to the next level by spinning out new startup companies based on Stevens innovative technologies and to provide students with real-world experiences designed to build tomorrow’s technology leaders that will help bring high-tech manufacturing back to the United States. In addition to starting several new companies in the last year, the departments SEED (Stevens Entrepreneur & Enterprise Development) Program has also spun-out two new companies that are run by students over an 18-month period that will redefine undergraduate entrepreneurial training and establish Stevens as the leader in the field.

Malcolm Kahn, a serial entrepreneur of technology-based companies for more than 30 years, leads the Enterprise Development & Licensing group. Mr. Kahn has extensive experience in the fields of analytical and scientific instrumentation, membrane filtration, lab-on-chip technologies, sensors and first-hand knowledge of the medical diagnostics, clean-tech, telecommunications, analytical instruments, and biopharmaceutical markets.

Enterprise Development & Licensing has also started Stevens Innovations LLC, a virtual incubator that helps students, faculty, and researchers develop their technology into marketable products that will benefit mankind. Services include everything from market research, strategy development, business plan development, to assistance with funding. Stevens Innovations is also raising a small investment fund to help early stage companies get started.

The office truly embraces the concept of Technogenesis® II at the University.

The site currently highlights recent companies such as Attila Technologies, CADeyes, MyIdeaShare, Seahorse Power and SPOC Medical as well as several new technologies in later-stage development.

For more information on these or other companies, and to inquire about how Stevens Innovation can help your own business venture – please visit the Enterprise Development & Licensing website!
