This page contains instructions for configuring wireless 802.1x networking using Windows 8. Instructions for other operating systems can be found on the 802.1x page.

Connection Instructions

Step 1 - Enabling Your Wireless

Turn on your wireless adapter, there may be a physical button on your computer if you are using a laptop.

Step 2 - Wireless Networks

In the lower left corner of your screen, click on the Networking icon as pictured below

Step 3 - Selecting Your Network

At this point, a list of available Wireless Networks will appear

Click on your desired wireless network. Then press the corresponding Connect button that appears.

  • Stevens Student: Use this Wireless Network if you are a Stevens Student, both undergraduate and graduate.
  • Stevens: Use this Network if you are a Faculty or Staff member.

Step 4 - Enter Your Credentials

When prompted for your credentials please enter your Stevens username and password which should be the same as you use to access MyStevens and your Stevens Email.

Step 5 - Ignore Security Warning

The image below shows the warning message which should appear, click Connect

You should now be connected to the Stevens wireless network.
