For students connecting to the wired network

Any device connected to the Stevens wired network that is either not configured, or not capable of, 802.1x authentication will need to authenticate via the web (a.k.a. Web authentication). MAC address registration is no longer supported.

To connect:

  • Plug in your device to the wall jack in the desired location with an Ethernet cable.
  • Once your device receives an IP address, surf to any external website.
  • You will be presented with a Stevens login screen. Type in your username and domain password to authenticate. If successful, you will be connected to the network and forwarded to your original destination.

Note: After 12 hours, your session will expire and you will need to re-authenticate.
