Acquiring Matlab 2010b

The media required to install Matlab 2010b can be found on storage01. Please download the required files to a local computer by mapping a network drive before starting installation.
  • Drive: \\storage01\public
  • Folder: Matlab2010b
  • Target: \Matlab2010b\OSX Linux\InstallForMacOSX.app
NOTE: The public share is accessible to all staff/faculty, undergraduates and graduates.

Install Guide

  • Before installing, we recommend that a wired connection be used.
  • We also recommend to copy the entire Matlab 2010b folder to your local hard drive.

1. Once you're in the Matlab 2010b folder, enter the 32bitUNIXmacOSX folder for 32-bit computers or OSX Linux folder for 64-bit computers, depending on which your system can support.

2. Double-click InstallForMacOSX.app to begin the installation process.

3. You may be asked for your administrator password. Enter the password and press OK.

4. Ensure that Install automatically using the Internet is selected and press Continue.

5. Agree to the Terms of the License Agreement by selecting Yes and press Continue.

6. Select the installation location, then press Continue.

7a. If you have a MathWorks account, log in and press Continue.

  • Your email address should be your full username@stevens.edu address.
    • If you do not remember your credentials, follow the Forgot your password? link.

7b. If you do not have an account, select I need to create an Account and press Continue.

  • When creating your account, use your full Stevens email address. The activation key can be found in the root directory for Matlab 2010b.
    • Once you've completed this step, please skip to step 7.

8. Select Enter an Activation Key for a license not listed and enter the activation key.

    • The activation key can be found in the root directory for Matlab 2010b.

9. Uncheck any products you do not want to have installed, then click Continue.

10. Once the installation completes, ensure Activate MATLAB is selected, then press Continue.

Activation

1. Press Next.

2. Enter the Activation Key.

  • The activation key can be found in the root directory for Matlab 2010b.

3. The current computer account name will be set by default, press Next.

4. Confirm the information and click Activate.

5. Click Finish.
