Mac OS X Using DHCP

This article will help you ensure that your Mac computer is configured to automatically obtain an IP address using DHCP.

Wireless

1. In the upper right corner of your screen, click on the Airport Icon. Select Open Network Preferences.

2. Select the wireless adapter and press Advanced.

3. Under the TCP/IP tab, please ensure that the Configure IPv4 field is set to Using DHCP.

Wired

1. In the upper right corner of your screen, click on the Airport Icon. Select Open Network Preferences.

2. With the Ethernet Adapter selected, the Configure IPv4 field should be set to Using DHCP.
