  • Works, but there is no supported method of fingerprint comparison.

There is a [backend project] working on the AES2501. You may need to edit their source to get it to work correctly.

The only version testing in the Information Technology Department is feisty fawn with kernel 2.6.20


  • A slight problem after the install with graphics drivers may occur. Simply install and use the proprietary ATI drivers to fix.
  • Wireless works out of the box and can connect to the Stevens 802.1x wireless with Network Manager without any back end configuration. See Linux 802.1x
  • Use thunderbird for you email.
