Prerequisite

A standard Web browser – Internet Explorer 7 / Mozilla Firefox / Google Chrome

Access

Step 1 - Type Page URL

To access the Drupal Content Management Webpage, please type in the following URL on the web browser: https://www.stevens.edu/<section name>/user (Please make sure that https is there in the beginning of the link)

<section name> refers to the Section in the Stevens Webpage which requires editing. Some of them include sit, cal, sse, howe, news etc.

E.g.: To access the section name sit in Drupal, the URL would be: https://www.stevens.edu/sit/user. For news section, the URL would be: https://www.stevens.edu/news/user

Quick note for first time link access

Internet Explorer users might see a warning message “Only secure content is displayed.” with a button link “Show all content”. Please click this link to continue.

Google Chrome users might see a warning “This page has insecure content.” with two buttons “Don't Load (recommended)” and “Load anyway”. Please click on “Load Anyway” button to continue.

Selecting the above setting makes sure that the whole site functionality is available to the user.

The initial page is now loaded with a username and password text boxes.

Step 2 - Login

Please sign in using your Stevens credentials.

Step 3 - Start Editing Content

After successfully logging in, enter the URL in the web browser’s address bar of the page to edit (Please do not remove the https in the address).

The URL follows the pattern: https://www.stevens.edu/<section>/<subsection(s)>

<section> refers to the Main section in the Stevens site.

<subsection(s)> include division(s) under <section> with the target page name.

<section> refers to the Section in the Stevens Webpage which requires editing. Some of them include sit, cal, sse, howe, news etc.

For e.g.: In the link https://www.stevens.edu/sit/graduate/index.cfm , Section is sit and Subsection is graduate. index.cfm is the target page.

Please note that a link can have more than one subsection.

Step 4 - Logout

To log out, please choose “Logout” at the top right of the page.
