Using Safari

1. Login to your Moodle page

2. Enter your Moodle class, and click the "Elluminate Live! Sessions"

3. Enter the room you are trying to join

4. Click "Join Session"

5. A new page should open, click on the downloads button on the top right hand corner

6. Open your selected file

7. If you get this error message please refer to this for a solution. If you have any other issues refer to the guides below for troubleshooting.

Mac OSX 10.8.4

Mac OS X 10.7 and OS X 10.8 with Java 7 update 25

Mac OS X 10.6 with Java 6 update 51


10.8 Users:

Recent security changes released by Apple may prevent web conferencing customers from launching Blackboard Collaborate sessions and recordings. Customers using OS X version 10.8.4 are affected. The security changes no longer allow users to auto-launch JNLP files. Please reference knowledge base article 2940 for complete details and a solution to the problem.

10.7 Users:

It has been reported that the recent Oracle Java update causes the Whiteboard to freeze when using Web Conferencing versions 12.5.1 and 12.1.6 with Mac OS version 10.7 or later running with Java 7 update 25. This issue can occur when using activities such as Web Tour and Application Sharing. Please reference knowledge base article 2984 for complete details and a solution to the problem.

10.6 Users:

Secondary windows do not open and sessions do not close properly on Mac OS 10.6 with Java 1.6.0_51 update installed. Please reference knowledge base article 2985 for complete details and workarounds for these problems.
