    Direct Loan Master Promissory Note
     

    The Direct Loan Master Promissory (MPN) can be completed online at: www.studentloans.gov. You will find directions to explain what steps are necessary to complete the MPN. To complete the MPN you will need your US Department of Education PIN. This is the same PIN required to complete the online version of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To apply for a PIN, please visit http://www.pin.ed.gov/PINWebApp/pinindex.jsp.

    National Student Loan Data System: Students and parents who choose to borrow federal loans (Perkins, Direct Subsidized or Unsubsidized and Parent Plus loans) will be reported to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). The information on NSLDS can be viewed by other schools, lenders and guaranty agencies.
