Communication, Citizenship, Leadership, and Social Development

Social Pearl Experiences provide opportunities to enhance a sister's communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work with and relate to others in a variety of situations. College graduates need the knowledge and experience of social skills to effectively participate in one-on-one and small and large group settings. Social Pearl Experiences should involve other groups, such as fraternities, sororities, NPHC groups, and student organizations. Events providing opportunities to practice social skills and promote responsible citizenship are appropriate and encouraged for Social Pearl Experiences.

Leadership is action, not position.
